The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services on the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering companies for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency claimed it can be alarmed with regard to the high number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is as a result of lack here of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The company stage produced for intervention experiences a superior inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to help the servicing of all customers and enhance access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
